Vele Toe Curls:

Target Muscles:  Intrinsic muscles of the foot, muscles located in the foot, that help support the arches and allow for access of the gluteal muscles

Action Desired:  The exercise is designed to stimulate the muscles of the foot to build up an arch in the medial side of the foot.

Exercise Movements: Curl your toes as if to grab the carpet or towel under your foot.  As you do this the arch of the foot will build up, you will put more pressure on the outside of the foot and toward the heel.  You can add a component of leaning forward and grabbing with the toes until you lose balance forward and step forward to grab balance back.

Repetitions:  10
